Tory Michak
MLA, BA International Relations
Landscape Designer
Tory’s interest in cities, public space, and the natural world led her first to a career in graphic design and then to the field of landscape architecture. Originally from Northampton, Massachusetts, Tory studied and worked across the US and the UK before arriving in Canada to complete her Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) degree at UBC. Creating spaces that promote community well-being and foster a sense of belonging drives her practice. In her spare time, you’ll find Tory rock climbing in Squamish, weaving through forests on her gravel bike, visiting dog parks with her pup, Rupert, and chasing her toddler around East Van playgrounds.
