About You

You are searching for a role that is a linchpin of our business.  You are a principled, meticulous, values-driven professional looking to align your efforts and talents with an organization that believes in making the world a better place.  You are a team builder who can communicate with purpose and pragmatism, and you are an excellent, independent problem solver who takes the initiative. 

Your well-rounded skill set and experience mean you can supervise a team that supports both accounting and office administration. Duties include maintaining all accounting records, creating, and implementing systems for internal control, preparing financial reports for management, administering payroll and benefits, and overseeing aspects of office administration.

When it comes to education and experience, you have:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of increasingly responsible experience in a relevant finance role, with a minimum of 2 years at a senior management level.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Technically proficient and comfortable with IT tools and software, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel, strong proficiency in/with Ajera ERP software, and working proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and database programs.
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting principles to support time and materials billing allocations and fixed-fee contracts.
  • Professional accounting designation (Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant is preferred

You excel at:

  • Maintaining a robust financial management system overseeing all financial reporting and accounting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Developing and implementing short and long-term financial plans.  Forecasting and providing ad hoc analyses in accordance with stated business values and strategic goals. 
  • Executing on all payroll functions and benefit plan management, including maintaining payroll/personnel records, remittances, adhering to all statutory requirements.
  • Participating in developing corporate goals, strategies, policies, and procedures and establishing financial goals and targets when required.
  • Leading and supervising the Administration and Accounting team on accounting, reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and other financial matters, and providing training and support as required.

Landscape Architect (with 0-5+ Years of Experience)

PWL Partnership is looking for two creative Landscape Architects or Landscape Designers to join our team in Vancouver (remotely for now).

About You

You are a principled, creative, values-driven person looking to align your efforts and talents with an organization that believes in making the world a better place.

Your well-rounded skillset means you can take a project from preliminary schematic design through municipal approvals, design development, construction documentation and field services.  Your colleagues know you as a hard-working, collaborative teammate who has local experience in landscape architecture or urban design. 

When it comes to education and experience, you have a degree in Landscape Architecture, OR a diploma in Landscape Architectural Technology, OR a commensurate level of training and education in a related field of study.  If you are proficient in Vectorworks, that will be beneficial, but it is not a requirement.  Please note what CAD software you have experience using in your application.  We are also keen to know if you are pursuing registration in the BCSLA or are already registered.
