Sonia Jin
A sushi and outdoor recreation enthusiast, Sonia pursued landscape architecture after discovering the profession’s perfect balance of robust creativity with nature. Her background in writing and residential landscape architecture set the stage for her to continue her education, completing a Master’s in Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph. Her thesis focused on creating design tools to connect women and low-income neighbourhoods to cycling infrastructure. A firm believer in inclusive and accessible design, she advocates for marginalized voices to be heard at the earliest stages of design, ultimately creating healthy communities with equitable resources.
Back home on the BC coast, she is excited to help create places of equitable access and wellness through inclusive engagement within our communities. When she isn’t out and about cycling or photographing nature, she can be found at home reading and spending time with her two cats.
