Amanda’s energy and optimism drive her focus on participatory design processes for both urban and natural places. She values transdisciplinary projects that work through competing priorities to find ways to impact their communities positively. An advocate for inclusive and equitable space, Amanda views meaningful public consultation as a way toward redefining how cultural heritage is reflected in the landscape, moving from settler-colonial histories to multilayered ones that represent the original inhabitants of the land.

Swapping the Great Lakes for the Pacific Ocean, Amanda enjoys cycling around the city and watching the sun drop behind the mountains from Vancouver’s sandy beaches.
