Landscape Architecture + Parks + Open Space
Clark Park
Vancouver, British Columbia | 2016-2018
A mix of custom and traditional play equipment provides varied and exciting play opportunities.
This playground is a renovation of an existing play area in Vancouver’s second oldest park.
The new play area draws its inspiration from the park’s mature trees and takes advantage of the park’s topography. A large timber climber with a crow’s nest is a sculptural centerpiece of the playground that will allow children to enjoy the views of the park and neighbourhood from its high point. Picnic tables and Adirondack chairs allow parents and caregivers to relax and watch the young ones from the edges of the playground.
