Alfred Gomez

MLA, BA Urban Studies
Landscape Designer

Alfred has a passion for climate-resilient public spaces that take on diverse lenses in a changing world. He believes in bringing social justice and community building to all projects so that everyone can have equal access to urban space, both to work and to live. Alfred studied landscape architecture and gained professional consulting experience in the planning industry; having the ability to adjust his perspective to varying scales. “At the end of the day, plants, animals, and people are our main clients. I value knowing how to educate and tell their narratives through the landscape and built elements.”

In his free time, Alfred helps run a volunteer organization in Calgary called d.talks, which provides a digital collaborative space for anyone to discuss topics related to the design of the built environment. He also enjoys playing basketball and watching the Toronto Raptors, cooking, playing video games, and when inspired, creating comic strips and graphic novels.
