UBC Nest Site Plan and Rooftop Garden

The UBC Nest is a student-centred hub of activity, that leads the way in sustainability practices while creating a welcoming space for students to eat, study, and socialize. We designed the rooftop knoll as a thriving urban agriculture area with custom furniture that fosters community. A student group operates the garden and supplies produce to businesses on campus. All of the roof water is captured and redirected to new rain gardens.
